WOW. THIS is how you craft a mystery novel. Murder on the Orient Express is the tenth novel in the Hercule Poirot series, but I was able to enjoy this book without having read the previous entries (another sign this is a great yarn). I loved the eclectic cast of characters, and seeing Poirot untangling all the loose threads and deducing who committed the titular crime was a tense, yet fun, experience that kept me flipping the pages. A must-read for fans of the genre, and a great novel to jump into the detective/mystery pool for newbies. Read this before the film comes out.
VERDICT: 5/5
I wasn’t sure whether to read it before the film because I don’t know anything about it, now you’ve said…

I know they’ve added characters to the film that aren’t in the novel, and I’ve heard that they’ve made other changes, but I still recommend reading it 🙂 It’s wonderful!

As long as the film’s a bit different it’ll probably be okay, I don’t wanna be sitting there nitpicking what they got wrong and right!😊 Fantastic, I’ll pick it up soon.
