Anamorphine caught my eye as soon as I watched the reveal trailer. Centering on a man named Tyler, we walk in his footsteps as he relives his memories prior to a traumatic incident. He struggles with guilt over not being able/ not knowing how to help his wife Elena as she slips further into depression.
The art style is striking, and I love the fact that there will be no dialogue or action button; we’ll just be traveling through Tyler’s memories. I love that games are becoming more open about showing the effects of mental illness, and Anamorphine is a game I’m excited to get my hands on.
Anamorphine will release on PC, Xbox One, and VR devices later this year. For more info, visit the offical site and follow the game on Twitter.
