Shirley Jackson’s classic mystery novel, about a family who have recently lost four of their members due to mysterious poisonings and turn to rituals and talismans to keep townspeople at bay, is being adapted into a film. It will be directed by Stacie Passon (Transparent) and will star Sebastian Stan (Captain America: Civil War), Alexandra Daddario (Percy Jackson and the Olympians), Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story), and Crispin Glover.
The premise is unique and I can’t wait to see how the story is adapted for the screen. The cast has major talent, and I’m eagerly anticipating more nuggets of information about the film’s progress.
We Have Always Lived in the Castle is slated to release sometime in 2017.
