CW Seed Set to Debut New Superhero Series Featuring A Gay Lead

BRAVO, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim (the masterminds behind Arrow, The Flash,Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow)! The CW’s digital platform Seed is set to debut Freedom Fighters: The Ray in 2017. The show will focus on Raymond “Ray” Terrill, a reporter who finds some juicy intel about a weapon of mass destruction. This is obviously NOT GOOD, so he’s exposed to a genetic light bomb, in the hopes of murdering him. TOO BAD, EVIL CORPORATION. Ray survives, and gains light-based abilities to kick major bad-guy ass. He’s then recruited by the government to bring justice where it’s needed.

Hopefully, Ray will crossover from Seed and make an appearance in the multi-verse already created on The CW. How cool would it be to see him team up with Barry Allen and Oliver Queen?!

Also, this will be the first TV show to feature a lead gay superhero, which I personally think is amazing. I can’t wait to hear more about this groundbreaking series and to learn more about this fascinating character.

Follow The CW Seed on Twitter and Facebook for any new info about the project.
