Jenny’s Wedding (2015) | 100 Day Film Challenge – Day 38

If you’re looking for a formulaic chick flick with a twist, Jenny’s Wedding is for you. Starring Katherine Heigl, the movie centers on a woman named Jenny who longs to marry the love of her life and start a family, but she’s afraid to tell her conservative family that her true love is… a woman.

The acting is decent, with Heigl giving a solid performance. Alexis Bledel as her partner was sweet and likable, and Grace Gummer was funny as Jenny’s sister.

The story is predictable but hits the spot if you’re looking for the equivalent of cinematic comfort food. Is this anything special? No, but it’s an enjoyable film that will make you smile.

Verdict: 3/5
