Disney’s latest animated film is a charming, unique film that conveys the message of following your dreams and never giving up, no matter the odds.
Zootopia follows Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) who has dreamed of being a police office ever since she was a little bunny. After achieving her dream, she is dispatched to Zootopia, where she again has to prove herself to everyone who doubts her abilities. She meets Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), a fox who has conned his way through life. Together, they search for a missing otter and try to save Judy’s career.
This film is beautiful, charming, and moving. I strongly connected with Judy, having dreams that others have told me are impossible to achieve. I’m not too proud to admit that I had tears in my eyes at points.
The voice acting is superb, with Goodwin and Bateman bringing charm and wit to their characters. Idris Elba, J.K. Simmons, Jenny Slate, and other celebrities add to the talented voice cast.
I highly recommend Zootopia. It’s charming, beautiful, and has a powerful message. This is a perfect family film (there are a couple of scenes that may scare young children, though).
